My Story

Scentsy was created in the U.S in 2004 and has grown tremendously over the years. In 2011, Scentsy launched in the UK, Germany and Ireland so if you know anyone that may be interested in the business opportunity there, please forward my information to them. In September 2013, Scentsy launched in Australia and Mexico and we have launched in Austria, France, Spain and New Zealand so please pass this information along as well. I would like to share with you my Scentsy story and why i joined this AMAZING company! I have several reasons why i joined Scentsy. For example, the price to start my own business was very affordable, I wanted to work from home, I wanted an easy job, I needed a job with flexible hours and my #1 reason for joining Scentsy is I'm a Single Mother and I needed extra money to help me out with bills etc. Being a mom is tough. We cook, we clean, we take care of the kids, we work, we take the kids to games and practices and the list goes on & on. But being a Single Mom is even more tough. We do all of the things that i listed above but we do it alone without the help of a spouse. I've been a Single Mom for 20 years now and I stay busy. I work full time for the USPS but i really wanted some extra income to help me with bills and other things. I didn't want a job where I would have to leave my daughter with someone at odd hours of the night. So when i was introduced to Scentsy by my best friend, i was like "Okay this is exactly what i've been looking for". I was at one of my daughter's games and I told my best friend that I wanted to join and be her first recruit. So that night in September 2008 after the game, I went to my friends house and signed up. This was the beginning of my Scentsy career but also the beginning of one of the worst times in my life. Two weeks prior to joining Scentsy, I began having life threatening health issues. For months i tried several treatments but nothing worked. I had to make the drastic decision to have an emergency surgery which saved my life. This completely rocked my world! It was an emotional battle for me for a while but i knew that i had to continue to build my business and help my team. As I began to heal from this rollercoaster, I was faced with yet another challenge. In April 2012, an F3 tornado struck my home and neighborhood which caused major damage. I could not believe this had happened. I had to pack up everything that could be saved and move out of my house for 5 months for repairs to be made. This was a challenging time but I made it through and my Scentsy Family was right by my side to help me. I even received a phone call from one of Scentsy's Corporate members which really meant alot to me. Most recently in June 2015, I was hit in a head on car collision. Thankfully I survived this tragic accident. My Scentsy Business helped me pay my bills during the three months that I was off from my full time job which was a blessing. Now something that you must know about me is that I LOVE to help & give to others. It's a wonderful feeling when i can help and do things for others. So when i saw that Scentsy was a company that was very giving, i knew this was the company I should be a part of. I know that I must share it with others and definitely share it with Single Mothers. I love the fact that Scentsy is so generous. I express to the Single Moms that if they are looking for extra cash YES Scentsy can provide for you. Alot of the moms tell me that they want to join but they don't have time. I tell them to just work Scentsy into your daily routine like i do. It's also great that Scentsy sells itself. You can share Scentsy at your kids games, at the grocery store, at the gas station, at drive-thrus, EVERYWHERE. You never know who else needs to be blessed with such an amazing opportunity.I've been through many challenges as a Single Mom that I've been able to overcome. I believe that we can all go anywhere and do anything and SUCCEED if we just dream. Scentsy is changing lives everyday and i'm still amazed to watch my life change. I was able to make Director in June 2009 after 8 months of joining and being sick throughout. I was blessed enough to earn an all expense paid 7 day Cruise to Alaska from Scentsy in September 2009. I am still so very grateful. I'm so thankful for Scentsy because this is a blessing to me. With my first check I was able to make back the $99 that I had invested for my kit. I am now able to pay my mortgage and other bills all because I believed in myself and remained patient. I will definitely continue to be a part of Scentsy because i can't wait to see where i will be in my Scentsy career 5-10 years from now. It's so exciting to even think about it. So to the Moms, Dads, Single Moms, Single Dads, EVERYBODY remember we all face many challenges in our lives but what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger. I've waited for so many years in my life for this moment to arrive. This moment of being happy and feel like i can be successful and finally i believe because i believe in Scentsy! I'm seeing my dreams come true right before my eyes. I have so many dreams that I want to become true for me, my family and friends. I'm Dreaming big because those dreams will come true and what a dream come true Scentsy is for me!
